したいこと：ubuntu14.04LTSとOSX10.9.5でDropbox/TeX/sty/answerbox.styを共有して使いたい．

（ubnutuの方は，$ wget http://ring.maffin.ad.jp/pub/text/CTAN/systems/texlive/tlnet/install-tl-unx.tar.gz でインストールしました．
OSXの方は，美文書6でインストールしました．）

したこと：ubuntuにおいて~/.profile に
export TEXINPUTS=/home/nanashi/Dropbox/TeX/sty//: #20151007#
を最後に加えた．

OSXにおいて/Users/nanashi/.bashrc に
export TEXINPUTS=/Users/nanashi/Dropbox/TeX/sty//: #20151007#
を最後に加えた．

ubnutuでは
$ kpsewhich answerbox.sty
/home/nanashi/Dropbox/TeX/sty/answerbox.sty

OSXでは
$ kpsewhich answerbox.sty
/Users/nanashi/Dropbox/TeX/sty/answerbox.sty
とちゃんと？認識されてる．

問題：ubuntuではちゃんとコンパイルできるのに，OSXでコンパイルすると，answerbox.styがないと言われる．なぜなのでしょうか・・・？？

TEXINPUTS を変更しなければ無理なのでしょうか。私だったら、
  1. 双方の home に サブディレクトリ ~/texmf を作り、その中に~/texmf/tex/platex/local/ とでもサブディレクトリを作成する。
  2. その中に、~/Dropbox 内の共有されたスタイルファイルのシンボリックリンクを作成する。
  3. ~/texmf で "mktexlsr ."
とでもすると思いますが…… UN*X 系ならば、シンボリックリンクを使う方が便利でしょうし、~/texmf を使えば環境変数を触る必要もありませんし。

ファイルの実態が無い、あるいはアクセス権が無いのではと想像していますが、。。。

「answerbox.styがない」というログのメッセージをここに貼り付けられますか？

あるいは、OSX のターミナルで以下の二つのコマンドを実行した時
answer box.sty の内容などが表示されますか？

cat /Users/nanashi/Dropbox/TeX/sty/answerbox.sty
ls -l /Users/nanashi/Dropbox/TeX/sty/answerbox.sty

原因が不明なら上記の下側の実行結果を貼り付けてください。

返信遅れてすいません．ログのエラーは
! LaTeX Error: File `answerbox.sty' not found.
だけです．

$cat /Users/nanashi/Dropbox/TeX/sty/answerbox.sty
は問題なく，中身のテキストが表示されます．

$ls -l /Users/nanashi/Dropbox/TeX/sty/answerbox.sty
-rw-r--r--@ 1 nanashi  staff  23184 Sep 15  2014 /Users/nanashi/Dropbox/TeX/sty/answerbox.sty
となりました．

心配していた問題ではなさそうですね。

以下のテスト用の LaTeX ソースをファイル test.tex
という名前で作成していただきターミナルで

platex test.tex

とやった時できる test.log を添付することはできますか？

どうして answerbox.sty が読めないだろう
\end{document}

他にも参照するファイルのトレース方法はあるのですが
ちょっと難しいので上記で検証したいと思います。

.bashrc は bash の設定ファイルですよね．
そして，おそらく TeXShop は bash から起動しているわけではないですよね．
そういうことでは．

Mac は持っていないので試したわけではないですが，
https://okumuralab.org/tex/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=988&parent=5401
というのが過去にあります．


ただ，もし私なら，上田さんも書かれているシンボリックリンクの方法を使います．

返信ありがとうございます．後々は，windowsも同じように同期したいので環境変数をいじる方が楽かなと思ったのですが，シンボリックリンクの方法で挑戦してみます．(_ _;)

前田さんが示されたページの情報で。環境変数の問題は解決されましたか？

OSX は今回話題になっている設定に関しては、
「Macでの環境変数（environment variables）の設定方法
http://qiita.com/hoisjp/items/19374252db8e748c3407 」
によれば、以下のようにバージョンによって異なります。

Mac OS 10.10 (Yosemite)
Mac OS 10.8 (Mountain Lion), 10.9 (Mavericks)
Mac OS 10.7 (Lion) 以前

ご利用環境に合わせて対応してください。

とはいえ、TeXShop を使ってはいないのですが、GUI 環境として
利用している emacs で環境変数が想定とおり設定できるかどう
か確認してみました。

私はすでに 10.11 (El Capitan) にしてしまったので他のバージョ
ンの情報を調べられないのですが、 man launchctl で示される
関連ファイル（ディレクトリ）情報は以下の通り。

FILES
     ~/Library/LaunchAgents         Per-user agents provided by the user.
     /Library/LaunchAgents          Per-user agents provided by the adminis-
                                    trator.
     /Library/LaunchDaemons         System wide daemons provided by the admin-
                                    istrator.
     /System/Library/LaunchAgents   OS X Per-user agents.
     /System/Library/LaunchDaemons  OS X System wide daemons.

この情報を元に上に示した URL を見習って  ~/Library/LaunchAgents/TEST.plist
を作り launchctl load  ~/Library/LaunchAgents/TEST.plist とすると
GUI 側に想定通りの環境変数が設定あるいは伝搬することを確認しました。
リブートなどをしてももちろん大丈夫でした。



＃テストした情報を無効化するのに手間取り replay が遅くなりました。
＃もしテスト的なものを作成された時は　RunAtLoad　を true から false に
＃変更して unload してください。

/etc/launchd.conf にググって出てきたものをまねていろいろ記述してみたのですがうまくいきませんでした．
ひとまずあきらめて，また挑戦したいとおもいます ^^;

どういうようにおかしいのか、「ご利用環境」や「実際に書かれた内容」などを提示していただいた方が説明しやすいのですが。。。

とはいえ * /etc/launchd.conf * だということは　Mac OS 10.8 (Mountain Lion), 10.9 (Mavericks) なのですね。当方その検証環境を持っていないのですが
今までの佐々木さんの情報からだと「以下を書き込み」し、「OS 再起動」だと思います。

setenv TEXINPUTS /Users/nanashi/Dropbox/TeX/sty//:

書き込む方法はいろいろありますが、以下に示す「一行のコマンドライン」で
書き込んでください。

コンパイルとおりました！！環境はOSX10.9.5です．

は試していたのですが，そのときは
setenv TEXINPUTS /Users/nanashi/Dropbox/TeX/sty//:(半角スペース)#20151007#
と書き込んでいました．スペースを入れていたのが良くなかったんだと思います．ちなみに，
＞OSXにおいて/Users/nanashi/.bashrc に
export TEXINPUTS=/Users/nanashi/Dropbox/TeX/sty//: #20151007#
を最後に加えた．
はそのままにしてます．助かりました，ありがとうございます．(_ _;)
