お世話になります。

dvioutでだけ画像が表示できません。PDFやPSファイルでは表示できます。
タイプセットはできて文章は出てくるのですが、画像の部分が空白で、下に

Warning
unable to open 画像名.eps

とでてきます。usepackageは[dviout]にしています。epsでも、susieを使ってjpegでも表示できません。

dvioutの中のdviout.defをshareの中にコピーするとできると他のサイトで書いてあったのでやってみましたが、それでも駄目です。

どうすればよいでしょうか。よろしくお願いします。

　uplatex で jsarticle not found と出てすすめません。
　Tex Wiki の「最初の例」サンプルをタイプセットすると、次のようになってストップします。

　インストーラ3 を使って何度かやり直しても状況は変わらず、今の環境は w32tex 関連ファイルを手動でダウンロードし、texinst2013 でインストールしたものになっています。これでも同じ状況です。
　mktexlsr も以下のようにやってみました。

とちゃんと書かれています。

PC環境は Windows8.1 64 bit です。
PATH には C:\w32tex\bin64;C:\w32tex\bin; が入っています。また、このPCには初めてのインストールなので $TEXMF などの環境変数はセットされていません。

どこをチェックすればよいか、アドバイスをいただければ幸いです。

こんにちは。言語学を学んでいる者です。
ヒンディー語を書くためにデーヴァナーガリー文字を表記したいのですが、うまくいきません。

CTANからvrlthuisをダウンロードし、中身をw32texの中のtexmf-localに移しました。
それから秀丸で奥村先生の『美文書作成入門改訂第４版』p.382に載っている例を丸写しし、ファイル名をtest.dnとして保存。
一度ファイルを閉じてから、保存されているフォルダ上でコマンドプロンプトを起動し、devnag testと打ち込み、ファイルtest.texを作りました。
そこまではうまくいくのですが、test.texを開いてタイプセットするとエラーが出ます。

と出て、hを押すと

For encoding scheme U the defaults dn/m/n do not form a valid font shape

と言われます。

何がいけないのでしょうか。また、.dnから.texを作るのにいちいちファイルを閉じたりするのが面倒なのですが、もっと円滑にやる方法があれば教えていただきたいです。

x を入力すれば終了できますが
できれば Ctrl-Z, Ctrl-C で終了できたほうが
いいと思います．

昨日，ZRさんに教えてもらってpgfをupdateしてfadingの問題は解決したのですが，今度はBeamerのenumerateでballの中の数字の色が白ではなく黒になるという問題に遭遇しました．非常に見づらいです．pgfをupdateする前はそんなことはなかったので，おそらくbeamer側が新しいpgfに対応できてないのかなどと考えネットを探ると同じ問題が取り上げられており，パッチまでありました．

いつも勉強させてもらっております．

jsbookでつくっている本で、索引をつくろうとしましたが、出力されません。

エラーが出るのではなく、単に索引が出力されません。

その本のファイルの中に、main.idxというファイルはできていますが、indファイルというのがないようなので、それができればいいのかと思って、本を参照して、ｗｉｎｄｏｗｓのコマンドプロンプトに入力してみましたが、

となりました。

どうしたらよいのでしょうか。

なお、medexの文字コードがUTF-8がデフォルトだと書いてありますが、私はたしかシフトJISにしていたように思います。－SでシフトJIS対応になると美文書作成入門に書いてあるのですが、それはどこを変えればいいのでしょうか。

jarticleでは正常に目次が出るが、jsarticleでは
\subsubsectionの部分の目次がでない？
以下にその例を示します。解決法を教えてください。

改訂第6版　LaTeX2e 美文書作成入門　を読んでいます。

theorem環境を用いた際に定義・定理・補題が通し番号になり，定理番号と定理名の後に改行して定理本文が始まるようにしたくて以下のようなプリアンブルを書いたところ，
