はじめまして。
VScode初心者の者です。
下の記事を参考に、VScodeでTeXを書こうと思ったのですが、出力エラーが出てしまい解決法も分からず困っています。
自分で見た限りdviファイルが出力されていないのだと思うのですが、なぜ出力されないのかがわかりません。
どなたかご教授いただければ幸いです。

texlive2019でコンパイルしたところ正常にコンパイルされました。

文字化けしていますがおそらく

''platex'' は、内部コマンドまたは外部コマンド、
操作可能なプログラムまたはバッチ ファイルとして認識されていません。

のようなエラーが出ています。

コマンドが platex ではなく 'platex' になってしまっているようです。

setting.json を以下のように修正するとどうでしょうか？

・"-latex='platex'"
　→ "-latex=\"platex\""
・"-latexoption='-kanji=utf8 -no-guess-input-env'"
　→ "-latexoption=\"-kanji=utf8 -no-guess-input-env\""

ご返答ありがとうございます。
結論から申し上げますとVScodeでのpLaTeXによるビルドに成功しました。
ありがとうございました。
しかし、該当記事下方に記載されている。動作テストを行ったところ、LuaLaTeX,XeLaTeXはビルドできませんでした。これはどのように解決すればよいでしょうか。
重ねての質問になってしまいますが、ご返答頂ければ幸いです。

ファイルパスに日本語（非 ASCII 文字）が含まれているとエラーになることがあります。
日本語を含まないパスで試してみてください。

日本語を含まないファイルパスで試してみたところXeLaTeX,LuaLaTexともにビルド出来ました。
ですが、upLaTeX,pLaTexのビルドの際にpdfが生成されず、dviファイルが表示されます。これはこういうものなのでしょうか。

.latexmkrc が正しくないような気がします。 以下の点を確認してみてください。

  • ファイル名が正しいか？（.latexmkrc. 等の想定外の名前になっていないか）
  • 配置する場所が正しいか？（C:\Users\<ユーザー名>\）
  • 設定内容が正しいか？（とりあえず参考ページの例をそのままコピペしてみてください）

それと　「2020年 10月 04日(日曜日) 19:47」でuplatex に言及されていたところのログの冒頭を見ると以下のようになっています。

上記のようなエラーメッセージが出ているのをみて　はやて さんは.latexmkrc が正しくないような気がします と言われたのだと思います。

  • 分割された .latexmkrc をみただけでは、uplatex が動きそうですが、 動きが違うように思います。

latexmk はホームディレクトリとカレントディレクトリの .latexmkrc があればこの順で読み込みます。同じ変数の設定が両方にあればカレントディレクトリのものが有効になります。

どのファイルを読み込んだか、どうやって調べるかと言うと VScode のコンソール画面やコマンドプロンプトで cd c:\sandbox\pdflatex としてから、単純に latexmk と言うふうにした結果を貼り付けてください。その結果には読み込もうとしている .latexmkrc の情報が最大２行表示されます。

もし二つ表示されたら、それぞれのパスがわかるように添付してください。

何度も投稿するのが面倒なら　zip 形式にまとめて投稿していただいて構いません。

追伸 vscode の setting.json の "latex-workshop.latex.tools": 部分の情報も合わせて開示してください。ここで latexmk に渡すパラメータを定義していると思いますので。

私が見た限り特に間違いはないように見えます。

latexmk はホームディレクトリとカレントディレクトリの .latexmkrc があればこの順で読み込みます。同じ変数の設定が両方にあればカレントディレクトリのものが有効になります。

こちらですが、

  • ホームディレクトリは環境変数 HOME が設定されている場合は %HOME%、そうでなければ %USERPROFILE% （通常 C:\Users\ユーザー名）が使われます（※ HOME が設定されている場合は USERPROFILE は使用されない）。
  • カレントディレクトリの RC ファイルは latexmkrc または .latexmkrc が使用されます（両方ある場合は latexmkrc （のみ）が使われるようです）。

のようになっているようです。

環境変数 HOME を設定していないか、作業ディレクトリに latexmkrc がないかも確認してみてください。

上記のようなエラーメッセージが出ているのをみて　はやて さんは.latexmkrc が正しくないような気がします と言われたのだと思います。

  • $latex = 'uplatex ... と設定しているのに latex が起動している。
  • $pdf_mode = 3; と設定しているのに dvi までで終わっている。

の二点から想定通りの .latexmkrc が読み込まれていないと判断しました。

単純に latexmk と言うふうにした結果を貼り付けてください。その結果には読み込もうとしている .latexmkrc の情報が最大２行表示されます。

私の環境（Windows 10 TeX Live 2019 Latexmk, John Collins, 26 Dec. 2019, version: 4.67.）でも表示されないようです（なにか間違っているかもしれません……）。

スクリーンショットで示された .latexmkrc は latexmk からは見えない のではと思います。

今日は会社でもWindows は使えないので試すことはできないので はやて さんが言われる HOME や USERPROFILE に関わる検証はできないのですが setting.json を見るとあえて .latexmkrc なくてもすみそうですね。

と言うことで setting.json を比較しやすいように表記してみました。

uplatex は基本 platex の記述の platex を uplatex に書き換えるのだと思います。

添付ファイル1.zip に同梱されていた .latexmkrc をc:\sandbox\pdflatex　にとりあえずコピーしてあげると、うまくいくと思います。

＃ .latexmkrc と setting.json 二つで同じようなことを書いているのでどちらか一方にした方がいいかな?

＃ latexmk に -pdf-preview=HOGE みたいなことができればな .. と夢想中
