初めて質問させていただきます。よろしくお願いします。

普段はパソコンで原稿を作成しています（texworks、文字コードshift-JIS）。今日はたまたまiPadで編集しようと、Dropboxを介して、あるファイルをtex writerで開いてしました。 tex writerはshift-JISに対応していなくて、UTF8のみだと思うのですが、意識せず開いてしまい（ここですでに文字化け）、一瞬コンパイルボタンも押してしまいました。そのままDropboxのファイルも上書きされてしまい、パソコンの方へ戻ると文字化けしていました。初めは、UTF8で保存されただけかと思い、texworks下部の文字コードの変換をしてみましたが、うまくいきませんでした。

さらに、nkfも試したのですが、これもうまくいきません。（すでに文字化けした原稿ファイルをコピーして）試したのは、

１、nkf -g foo.tex （結果はutf8）

２、nkf -s foo.tex > foo2.tex

３、nkf -w ～

４、nkf -S -w ～

５、nkf -S -s ～

など、考えられる操作はしてみたのですが、うまくいきません。

どうにか文字を元に戻したいのですが、ご存じのことがありましたら、ご教授いただけると幸いです。よろしくお願いします。

本日 High Sierra にアップしました。

システムのアップに関しては以前も苦労しましたので注意していましたが、Sierra から High Sieera だから問題なかろうと思ってアップしてしましました。

いつもお世話になります。
文字列に含まれるアラビア数字のカーニングについて違和感があり、下記の質問をしたいと思います。
1. 下記に提示する例のように文字列の中のアラビア数字の前後に配置されるアキが大きな気がしますが、これは一般的なのでしょうか（アキが大きいと感じる自分がおかしいのか）。
2. アラビア数字を含む文字列をLaTeXで記述するときに、特別な記法があるのでしょうか。
3. 文字列内のアラビア数字の前後を詰めるとしたら、どのような方法があるのでしょうか。
以上3点です。

不勉強で申し訳ありません．
W32TeXにおいて，例えば

（1）luajittex-exp-w32.tar.xz

をインストールした時，次のようなメッセージが出ます．
No package has been installed.

*-exp-*は単独でインストールできるのでしょうか．

（2）luajittex-dev-w32.tar.xz

をインストールした時，次のようなメッセージが出ます．
どのように対処したらよろしいでしょうか．

Arch Linux の LyX で突然、日本語入力ができなくなりました。
検索したのですが、解決方法がなかったので教えてください。

LyX のメーリングリストが機能していないので、
こちらに質問させていただきます。

もしかして LyX はもう時代遅れなのでしょうか？

OS は Arch Linux で、ソフトウェアは LyX、
日本語入力ソフトウェアはmozcです。

LyX のヴァージョンは 2.2.3 です。
$ sudo pacman -S lyx
でインストールしました。

mozc は他の全てのソフトウェアで使用できています。
(現在もこうして日本語入力できています)
mozc の問題ではないようです。

LyX の日本語設定は、

を見て設定いたしました。

つい半月くらい前には使えていたのですが、
急に、LyX で日本語入力ができなくなりました。

$ mv .lyx .lyx.orig
$ sudo pacman -R lyx
$ sudo pacman -Syu
$ sudo pacman -S lyx
して、つまり設定ファイルを別名保存し、LyX を再インストールしました。
そして、日本語設定を再設定しても、不具合は同様でした。

OS : Windows10 Pro x64 (1709, Build 16299.19)

新規で Windows10 Fall Creators Update を入れた PC に TeX Live を入れようと https://www.tug.org/texlive/acquire-netinstall.html から install-tl-windows.exe を落として実行しようとしたら Windows Defender に止められました。

install-tl.zip は文句を言われることもなく install が進んでいる(現在進行形)のでいいのですが、単なる誤検出(?)なのかホントに問題があるのか…

TeX Live の ML にはそれらしき書き込みも無いので当方の環境依存の可能性もありますが、一応FYIとして。

uplatexを使い日本語の入ったある文章を

コンパイルすると次のようなエラーが出ました．

ちなみに同ファイルをplaTeXでコンパイルするとすんなり通りました．

［改訂第7版］LaTeX2e 美文書作成入門の付属DVDについて質問です。
購入いたしました本に付属するDVDが、Windows8およびWindows10で認識されませんでした。
ウイルス対策ソフトを切るなども致しましたが、状況は変わりませんでした。
何か解決策があれば教えて頂きたいです。

macOS High Sierra が正式公開された，と話題なのですが，
High Sierra では
* ヒラギノフォントのファイル名が変わった
ことで，kanji-config-updmap(-sys) および pxchfon ともに
「hiragino(-pron)」「hiragino-elcapitan(-pron)」
の機能が使えなくなってしまいます。
まだ texjporg の内部で対応策を検討中の段階で，間に合っていません。

「ヒラギノフォントを使いたい」というユーザは
macOS High Sierra への更新を控えてください。

もし，すでにアップデートしてしまった場合は，
（自分で手作業でヒラギノをセットアップする方法がわかる方以外は）
「ipaex」フォントを使うなどして凌ぐ必要があるでしょう。
