\usepackage{times}
は日本語をきれいにするためには、何の役にも立ちません。
欧文をきれいにするものです。

以下のようなサンプル(内容は空です)で
dvi を
dvipsk -Ppdf -D8000 -z foo
として、foo.ps を作成し、(d:/test に foo.ps があるとします)
acrosdist d:/test/foo.ps
とすると、通常は OK です:

上の例は、スライドを見やすくするため、日本語はゴシック体、
欧文テキストは helvetica を使うようにしています。
