dvipskで作成したPSファイルの表示

はじめまして、表題の件について質問があります。
Windows XPでTeXをインストールしています。
TeX本体とdviout、gs、WinShellと順番に入れていき
WinShell上で、「我が輩は猫である」のサンプルファイルを
コンパイルしてみました。
無事にdviファイルとpsファイルが作成され、dviファイルの方は
dvioutで表示できました。しかし、psファイルの方は
GSview 4.2 2002-02-07

Can't find (or open) initialization file (kfwin32.ps)
gsapi_init_with_args returns -100
というエラーが出て表示できません。
作成は、dvipsk -Ppdf %sまたはdvipsk -P dl %sで行っています。
作成されたpsファイルはDistillerでは正常にpdfファイルに変換できます。
C:\usr\local\share\texmf\dvips\configフォルダ内をいじって、
config.dlの最後の行にp  +psfonts.mapを足してやったりしたのですが、
もう一つうまくいきません。
FAQかもしれませんが、よろしくお願いします。
