W32TeX で環境変数TEXEDITの反映

たびたびで申し訳ありません。
以前は，うまくいっていたのですが最近機能しなくなりました。

\begin{document}

上記のようなミスのあるソースをタイプセットしてエラーで中断したときに，e と
打ち込むと秀丸エディタが開くように環境変数 TEXEDIT を設定してあります。

このように Program の後の空白で終わりと判断されてしまうのか機能しません。
