インストールはＯＫ　でも変化なし

「teTeX用日本語パッチ集」に書いてあった手順が、おかげさまで完了しました。ルート権限でmake testを
するとxdviの画面に漢字が流れるのが見えました。
　しかし、簡単な言葉(英語と日本語)をptexで処理すると、

とエラーがでます。インストールはできたのでしょうか？なぜ、変化なしで、簡単な文章の表示をするのさえ、
ptexで処理できないのでしょうか？
