Hello, TeX!がコンパイルできません

［改訂第3版］美文書作成入門　第6刷のCD-ROMを使ってWindows XP Professional
にtexをインストールしました。付録Gの通りインストールしたのですが、
本書P.16に出てる一番最初の例、

\documentclass{article}
\begin{document}
Hello, TeX!
\[ \int dx = x + C. \]
\end{document}

がコンパイルできず、以下のようなlogが残ります。

PATHも確認しましたが、本書の通りの設定になっています。
