文献ファイル 文字化け

の日本語と英語の文献が混在したものを BIBtex で処理すると，文献リストの研究所のあとに t などの文字が
付加されたように出力されるのですが，どなたか原因，対処法を教えていただけませんか？
尚 環境は windows XP servicepack2 です．
