nidanfloatでの問題

二段組時に版面下部にぶちぬきの float を入れたいと思い，ASCII  
の nidanfloat.sty を使ったのですが，以下のエラーが生じます． 
 
! Infinite glue shrinkage found in box being split. 
\@outputdblcol ...split \@combinebox to\@tempdima  
                                                  \setbox \@outputbox =\vtop... 
l.10 \end{document} 
 
使用したソースで最小のコードは以下のものです． 
\usepackage を使用しない，もしくは \begin{figure}[b] のオプ  
ションをなくすか他の文字に変更するとエラーが出ないようです． 
簡単に解決する方法はないでしょうか．

使用しているバージョンは以下のものです．

追記： 
ASCII から配布されている ptex-texmf-1.10.tar.gz 中に同梱の 
nidanfloat.sty は，dtx ファイルよりもバージョンが古いものに  
なっています．ins で一度処理をする必要があります．
