大学での『計算機と数学』の授業で指導する gnuplot を調べていて気が付きました。 昨年の 12 月 20 日に www.gnuplot.info より公開のあった gnuplot 3.7.3（Windows 版）の更新が、今年の 2 月にあったようです。 昨年度 Windows 版の gp373w32.zip（657,619bytes; 2002/12/20）では、 gnuplot を起動すると背後に黒い画面の「コマンドプロンプト（MS-DOS 窓）」が 開いてしまうと言う Bug ありました。 今回では、この Bug fix がなされています。 具体的な更新方法は、直接 www.gnuplot.info の FTP より gp373w32.zip (656,701bytes; 2003/02/01) を 入手されて上書きされると良いでしょう。 なお念の為、以下に同梱の README.W32 より一部を引用しておきます： This is the second edition of a binary distribution of gnuplot 3.7.3, compiled for 32bit Windows platforms (Win9x, NT, 2000, and XP) using the free Borland C++ 5.5 command line compiler. The first one was riddled by a makefile bug that had wgnupl32.exe built as a console application, and wouldn't display the "File Open/Save" dialog correctly. The actual makefile used to compile this package is included, FYI.
