dvipsのpapersize

dvipsの用紙サイズ指定に関してです．

dvips 5.86eのマニュアル(角藤先生の配布の中のもの)(p.20下)には

If `@' is specified on a line by itself, with no parameters, 
it instructs Dvips to discard all previous paper size information 
(possibly from another configuration file).

とあるので，ためしに
config.testを

@

@a4 210mm 294mm
@+ ! %%DocumentPaperSizes: a4 
@+ %%BeginPaperSize: a4
@+ a4a4a4a4 
@+ %%EndPaperSize

@b4 210mm 294mm
@+ ! %%DocumentPaperSizes: b4 
@+ %%BeginPaperSize: b4
@+ b4b4b4
@+ %%EndPaperSize

と滅茶苦茶にして

dvipsk -P test test.dvi

とすると，確かにこのファイルのa4の定義で
a4a4a4が埋め込まれているのですが

dvipsk -t test -t b4 test.dvi

とするとconfig.psに書かれているb4の定義に従っています

確かに別のところ(p.21第三段落)には

When Dvips has a paper format name given on the command line, 
it looks for a match by the name; (中略)
The first match found (in the order the paper 
size information is found in the configuration file) is used.

とあります．

これは-t b4のようにコマンドラインオプションで指定した場合は
@だけの行があってもなくても同じということなのでしょうか

＃そもそも同じ名前で違う内容などということをしなければいいのですが・・
